Matchi Canvas and Prologue Art Spotlighted at Interior Design Trade Expo Metrocon 08

Entrepreneur and Artist Paula Parker, owner of Paula Parker Designs, Austin, TX, promises to bring a lively, variety of original art displays to the Metrocon 08, Interior Design Trade Expo/Convention in Dallas, Texas this week. The event runs Thursday through Friday, Aug. 14 -15, 2008 and draws hundreds of interior designers, decorators artists, art dealers, art investors and distributors from all over the world.
Metrocon is the nation’s largest regional trade show for the Interior Design industry, merging three professional organizations including the Texas Chapter of American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and The International Interior Design Association of Oklahoma.
“I am excited to spotlight the new Paula Parker Designs publication Art in Austin… the registry (Volume One),” said Parker. “I also plan to exhibit the original canvas art of Austin Artist ‘Matchi,’ including a Stevie Ray Vaughan portrait, of which I have posted on our website at: http://www.paulaparkerdesigns.com, she said. Attendees will enjoy original 3D artwork from her “Prologue” collection, which is also located at Parker’s website.

“The Prologue collection incorporates graphic imagery and text from historical antique documents as well as excerpts from my upcoming novel,” she said. “The novel is one I hope to have adapted for screenplay, reminiscent of Forrest Gump.”

Income from the event goes back to the chapters to fund special educational and recognition programs, as well as scholarships and charities earmarked by the individual organizations.
